ÉGLISE NOTRE-DAME DE LAEKEN
FESTIVITÉ DU 150ème ANNIVERSAIRE
En cette année 2022 nous fêtons le 150ème anniversaire de la consécration de l’église Notre-Dame de Laeken. Édifiée à l’initiative du roi Léopold Ier, pour y recevoir la dépouille de son épouse la reine Louise-Marie décédée le 11 octobre 1850, sa première pierre fut posée en 1854 et elle fut consacrée le 7 août 1872.
PROGRAMME DES FESTIVITÉS DU 150ème ANNIVERSAIRE
Célébrations liturgiques
- Dimanche 26 juin à 11h15: ouverture des festivités par une célébration eucharistique bilingue (français, néerlandais), présidée par Mgr Herman Cosijns Secrétaire général de la Conférence épiscopale, animée par les chorales de Notre-Dame de Laeken. Ensuite aura lieu l’ouverture solennelle de l’exposition ;
- Dimanche 7 août à 11h15: commémoration de l’anniversaire de la consécration de l’église par célébration eucharistique solennelle, animée par les chorales de Notre-Dame de Laeken ;
- Dimanche 11 septembre à 11h15: clôture des festivités par une célébration eucharistique trilingue (français, néerlandais et albanais) présidée par Mgr Jean Kockerols évêque auxiliaire de l’archidiocèse de Malines-Bruxelles pour la région de Bruxelles, animée par les chorales de Notre-Dame de Laeken ;
Exposition
Dans la Chapelle Royale une exposition sera ouverte où l’on pourra admirer les œuvres d’art et les trésors de l’église : orfèvreries, ornements liturgiques, sculptures, …
Ouverte tous les jours du 26 juin au 11 septembre de 14h à 17h sauf le lundi. Les 26 juin, 7 août et 11 septembre l’exposition sera ouverte à partir de 13h (après l’eucharistie).
Visites de l’église et de ses combles
L’église est ouverte tous les jours du mardi au dimanche de 14h à 17h.
Des visites guidées de l’église et des combles seront organisées à 15h (entrée gratuite) les dimanches 26 juin, 31 juillet, 7 août et 11 septembre.
Crypte royale
La crypte royale sera ouverte (entrée gratuite) le dimanche 31 juillet le lundi 29 août de 14h à 17h.
Pastorale à Notre-Dame de Laeken
Une église n‘est pas uniquement un édifice historique, mais en premier lieu une maison pour le Peuple de Dieu. Que font les chrétiens dans cette maison ? Comment vivent-ils leur foi ? Quelle signification ont ces communautés dans notre ville ? Les chrétiens veillent à leur bonheur, mais aussi de celui des autres.
Une exposition dans l’église nous donnera une image de ce qui se vit à la paroisse Notre-Dame de Laeken et dans l’unité pastorale Joseph Cardijn dont elle est une des quatre communautés.

FEESTELIJKHEDEN VAN DE 150ste VERJAARDAG
In dit jaar 2022 vieren wij de 150ste verjaardag van de kerkwijding van de kerk van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Laken. Gebouwd op het initiatief van koning Leopold I om de overblijfselen van zijn echtgenote koningin Louise-Marie te ontvangen die gestorven was op 11 oktober 1850, werd de eerste steen in 1854 gelegd en het kerkgebouw op 7 augustus 1872 ingewijd.
PROGRAMMA VAN DE FEESTELIJKHEDEN ROND DE 150steVERJAARDAG
LITURGISCHE VIERINGEN
- Zondag 26 juni om 11u15: Opening van de feestelijkheden met een tweetalige eucharistieviering (frans/nederlands) voorgegaan door Mgr. Herman Cosijns, algemeen secretaris van de bisschoppenconferentie en opgeluisterd door de koren van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Laken. Daarna zal de plechtige opening van de tentoonstelling plaatsvinden.
- Zondag 7 augustus om 11u15: herdenking van de verjaardag van de kerkwijding door een plechtige eucharistieviering (frans), opgeluisterd door de koren van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Laken.
- Zondag 11 september om 11u15: sluiting van de feestelijkheden door een drietalige eucharistieviering (frans/nederlands/ albanees) voorgegaan door Mgr. Jean Kockerols, hulpbisschop van het aartsbisdom Mechelen-Brussel voor het Brussels Gewest, opgeluisterd door de koren van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Laken.
TENTOONSTELLING
In de Koninklijke Kapel zal er een tentoonstelling plaatsvinden waar men de schatten en de kunstwerken van de kerk zal mogen bewonderen: zilverwerk, liturgische gewaden, beeldhouwkunst…
elke dag open van 26 juni tot 11 september van 14 tot 17u (behalve op maandag). Op 26 juni, 31 juli, 7 augustus en 11 september zal de tentoonstelling open zijn vanaf 13u. (na de eucharistieviering)
BEZOEK VAN DE KERK EN HAAR DAKWERK
De kerk zal elke dag open zijn van dinsdag tot zondag van 14 tot 17u.
Rondleidingen van de kerk en haar zolder zullen gratis plaatsvinden om 15u op zondag 26 juni, 31 juli, 7 augustus en 11 september.
KONINKLIJKE CRYPTE
De Koninklijke Crypte zal open zijn (toegang gratis) op zondag 31 juli, maandag 29 augustus van 14 tot 17u.
PASTORAAL ONZE-LIEVE-VROUW VAN LAKEN
Een kerk is nooit alleen een historisch gebouw maar op de eerste plaats een huis voor het Volk van God. Wat doen de christenen in dat huis? Hoe beleven ze er hun geloof? Welke betekenis hebben deze gemeenschappen in onze stad? Christenen zorgen voor hun welzijn maar ook voor dat van de anderen.
Een tentoonstelling in de kerk zal een blikvanger geven van wat er leeft in de parochie van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Laken en de Pastorale Eenheid Jozef Cardijn waarvan zij één van de vier gemeenschappen uitmaakt.

CELEBRATIONS OF THE 150th JUBILEE
We commemorate in 2022 the 150th anniversary of the consecration of the church of Our Lady of Laeken. Built under impulse of king Leopold the1st to receive the corpse of his wife queen Louise-Marie who had died on the 11th of October 1850, the first stone was laid in 1854 and the building dedicated on the 7th of August 1872.
PROGRAMME OF THE CELEBRATIONS OF THE 150TH JUBILEE
LITURGICAL CELEBRATIONS
- Sunday the 26th of June at 11.15: opening of the jubilee celebrations with a bilingual eucharist (French/Dutch) presided by Mgr Herman Cosijns, general secretary of the Bishop’s Conference and sung by the choirs of Our Lady of Laeken. The solemn opening of the exhibition shall take place afterwards.
- Sunday the 7th of August at 11.15: commemoration of the day of the dedication of the church with a solemn eucharist (French) sung by the choirs of Our Lady of Laeken.
- Sunday the 11th of September at 11.15: conclusion of the jubilee with a trilingual eucharist (French/Dutch/Albanian) presided by His Excellency the Right Reverend Jean Kockerols auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Malines Brussels for the region of Brussels and sung by the choirs of Our Lady of Laken.
EXHIBITION
An exhibition shall take place in the Royal Chapel where silver work, liturgical garments and art works shall be displayed…
Open daily from 26th of June till 11th of September from 2 to 5 PM. except on Mondays. On the 26th of June, 7th of August and 11th of September the exhibition shall be open from 1PM onwards (after mass)
VISIT OF THE CHURCH AND OF THE ROOF
The church is open daily from Tuesday to Sunday onwards from 2 to 5 PM.
Guided tours of the church and of the roof shall be provided at 3 PM (entrance free) on the following Sundays 26th of June, 31st of July, 7th of August and 11th of September.
ROYAL VAULT
The Royal Vault shall be open on the following days: Sundays 31st of July, Monday the 29th of August from 2 to 5 PM (entrance free)
PASTORAL OF OUR LADY OF LAKEN
A church is not only a historical building but a house of the People of God first. What do christians do in that house? How do they live their faith?
What meaning do such communities have in our city? Christians do they care at their own welfare but also at the one of others.
An exhibition within the church shall give us a glimpse of what happens in the parish of Our Lady of Laeken and the Pastoral Unity Joseph Cardijn from which she is one of the 4 members.
